All staff have First Aid, Asthma, Anaphylaxis and CPR qualifications.
Staff also participate in yearly Professional Development opportunities to keep up to date with the latest developments in the Early Childhood Profession.
Pre-service teachers are welcome at SPK and have relevant tasks that they need to undertake depending on the tertiary institution they are involved with. All pre-service teachers are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner. They are not given access to childrens confidential enrolment records and are expected to maintain confidentiality at all times in respect to staff, parents and children at SPK.
Families will be aware that sometimes staff are absent due to illness, holidays, professional development requirements, or other reasons. We will do our best to inform you prior to this occurring. SPK aims to use the same relief staff to replace our permanent staff members however this is not always possible. All relief staff will be suitably qualified and have relevant first aid and working with children checks.
